Post & Rail fence was the traditional fencing in Britain and Europe. Especially used for surrounding stables, stockyards, and buildings. Today, it is still one of the best wood fence styles for covering large areas. This is because it uses so little lumber over a large span. It has a beautiful rustic look that compliments almost any landscape setting.
We have three different types of wood Post & Rail available. Eastern White Cedar Post & Rail Fence (available in 2 or 3 rail, paddle or dowelled rails), Diamond Style Cedar Post & Rail Fence (Available in 2 and 3 Rail), and Locust Split Post & Hardwood Rail (Available in 2, 3 or 4 Rail).
All of our white cedar Post & Rail fencing is made from only the highest quality cedar from Canada (the Maritimes) and Maine. The Locust Split Rail Fencing comes from rustic Appalachia. Locust wood was first used by the early Appalachian settlers because of its superb strength and unsurpassed resistance to decay. This makes it an ideal species for fencing that needs to withstand the tests of time.
Our Eastern White Cedar Brand Post & Rail Fences are sold through a network of quality professional fence dealers throughout the United States. We would ask that you quite simply contact your local Eastern Fence dealer and ask for "Eastern White Cedar Wood Fence" by name.
